Dann Fassnacht I'm thinking that CRKT should put the (larger) Hissatsu 2 thumb-discs on the Hissatsu (1), as it really does make a (big) difference in opening the knife...For me at-least, it makes opening easier and more positive. Jan 21, 2017 · Oh man I love the hammer pole on mine. I used the woods chogan pretty extensively back during the summer clearing some nasty stuff. I chopped with the blade, used the hammer and bit to pull things away from the tangle. The hammer balances the bit nicely... I admit I haven't tried the cold steel so I'm likely biased, but I think the crkt is better.

Feb 20, 2018 · CRKT doesn’t belong in the same sentence with the word “value”. They put out a $120 folder with 1.4116 stainless. Kershaw is the domestic budget king. Spyderco brings higher-end steels to affordable price ranges. Civivi, Kizer (Vangard), and Stedemon make very nice knives with mid-range steels and good prices.

Aug 20, 2016 · CRKT has the additional insult of being overpriced for what you get. SOGs are unfortunate, because SOG knives were excellent a long time ago. These days, they're cheap imported trash. I'd pass on both CRKT and SOG and get a Spyderco, Buck American-made offering, American made Kershaw offering, or even a Cold Steel.
