I started taking contrave Dec 8 2014, I have had excellent results down 20 lbs. The first week was very hard because I am addicted to carbs and sweets; I was also feeling nausea and weak and just very strange being that I never take any meds at all, by day 5 I felt alot better I had energy and o was not craving any sweets or carbs.

I saw the post on Contrave and wanted to jump in. I began using Contrave and the scale down program on April 27. The medicine can make you feel a little skittish at times, but I attribute a lot of that to my change in eating as much as anything. Since beginning the program, I have cut out all carbonated drinks and my snacking between meals is gone.

Has anyone been on contrave and it didn't work. This is my third month and I lost 4lbs. I noticed my cravings are gone and it sometimes curbs my appetite but that's about it. I also see a nutritionist and work out 2-3 a week. Just wondering what people's results were or weren't. Thanks in advance!

He claimed the goal with these drugs (Contrave among the other new players) was to lose 10% of your starting weight. He also stated most obese patients plateau around 6 months into their weight loss and his focus then becomes helping them maintain their weight for (a period of time I've forgotten but 6-9 months sounds familiar).

Since starting Contrave, according to Scale down's scale, I have lost 16lbs. However, I have started a exercise routine and have taken myself to a 1200-1300 calorie diet. I went from completely not active to active so Im sure that has the weight loss booming at first.

They work short term for some people, but don’t have really impressive results. Now that I know I'm not pregnant, my doctor and I decided to give the Contrave another try. I was having intermittent nausea, bad headaches, and vertigo, which did not start until the second or third day into the third week of the Contrave. Once stopping the Contrave, my nausea did go away, but the vertigo stayed for another 2 weeks nearly.
