Despite nailing major moves, the Wizards' mistake in the free agency to address a key positional hole could hurt them in the new season.
The Washington Wizards are re-signing 7-footer Tristan Vukcevic to a two-way NBA deal, sources tell ESPN's Shams Charania. Vukcevic averaged 9.4 points and 3.7 rebounds in 14.6 minutes per game last season and will enter his third NBA campaign.
The rebuilding Wizards have taken low-risk fliers on multiple recent first-round draft picks this offseason, which could prove to be wise gambles.
Jonathan Kuminga has been linked to the Kings in a potential three-team sign-and-trade which would also involve the Warriors and Pistons. Dennis Schröder (who is heading to the Kings) and Malik Monk (who was on the Kings when free agency started) could also reportedly be involved.
