A First Alert Weather Day has been declared for Tuesday and into Wednesday morning as a rare Winter Storm Warning has been issued beginning Tuesday afternoon across much of our area.

They are well aware of the winter storm forecasted to hit Southeast Georgia on Tuesday and Wednesday. But instead of fear, they’re feeling something unexpected: excitement.

As a winter storm is expected to impact Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia beginning Tuesday night, some school districts are beginning to announce closures.

School systems are closely monitoring an anticipated winter storm that could bring snow and ice to the region.
