The tigers were born to Siberian tiger Stormi on May 20, 2025. They underwent their first veterinary examination on July 14.

Their deaths mark the country's 8th and 9th deaths this year due to lightning, per the National Lightning Safety Council.

A National Weather Service advisory warned of another 2-4 inches of rain falling in the region − and isolated areas could see 9-12 inches.
