NASCAR legend and GM dealer Rick Hendrick bought the first ZR1. While it rounds out his massive Corvette collection, that's not why he bought it.

Johnson to add another Corvette first to his collection, this time paying 3.7 million for the first 2025 ZR1 produced.

Hendrick bought the first C8 Corvette for $3 million, and the first C8 Corvette Z06 for $3.6 million, both considerable premiums for a car that starts at $68,300. Barrett-Jackson, which put on the auction, said that the $3.7 million for the latest first Corvette would go to the American Red Cross and auction fees would be waived.

The 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 isn’t just the most powerful ‘Vette eve but it also pushes it deep into hypercar territory, outmuscling hybrid giants like the Lamborghini Revuelto and Ferrari SF90 Stradale.
