Gov. Jeff Landry took a shot at the LSU football team after the Tigers were blown out 42-13 by Alabama over the weekend.

LSU suffered the worst defeat of the Brian Kelly era Saturday with a 42-13 loss to Alabama, squashing its hopes of playing in the College Football Playoff unless more chaos unfolds in the SEC. Everything went wrong for the Tigers. They could not stop quarterback runs, run the ball themselves and committed multiple turnovers.

LSU had a special guest in attendance for its 42-13 loss to Alabama in Week 11. Louisiana governor Jeff Landry pushed for the inclusion of a live tiger during LSU's pregame festivities, and he got his wish when an ersatz Mike the Tiger took to the sidelines in a cage prior to kickoff.

LSU having a live tiger on the field doesn't happen every week. It is rare in fact, but it is a tradition. Unfortunately, for the LSU football team, the live tiger had the best performance on Saturday according to Jeff Landry.

A live tiger returning to the sideline at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge for the first time since 2015 was not enough to spark a win for LSU as Alabama dominated it in a de facto College Football Playoff elimination game.
