Macworld Apple Intelligence is just about all Apple can talk about this year. The latest products released int he second half of 2024 are all “Built for Apple Intelligence” and every one of the ads for the new iPhones focuses entirely on it.

You’ll be prompted to set up Apple Intelligence right after upgrading to iOS 18, but if you need to set it up later, head to Settings in iOS: Tap More for Your iPhone, and then Set Up Apple Intelligence. You’ll get an explanation of some of the AI upgrades you can use, and a short demo of how they work.

Apple is rolling out iOS 18.2 to everyone starting today — and with it comes a whole host of exciting Apple Intelligence features. Apple Intelligence may have officially launched with iOS 18.1 earlier this year, but those were pretty small potatoes in comparison. This is where Apple Intelligence really comes into its own.

Apple's latest iOS update is all about AI. Features like Genmoji, ChatGPT integration, and Visual Intelligence really elevate the Apple Intelligence experience on supported iPhones (bringing them a step closer to Samsung's Galaxy AI ). This makes iOS 18.2 a worthy update for enthusiasts.

Image Wand is a tool in the Markup mode found in Notes, Pages or any app that uses the system's built-in drawing capabilities. It, too, is text based, but you can start with a sketch or photo. Genmoji and Image Wand are currently available on the iPhone and iPad; Mac versions are coming in an upcoming software update.

Apple Intelligence is definitely the headliner when it comes to iOS 18.2, the most recent update to Apple's iPhone software. But the list of new features doesn't end with Image Playground, Genmoji and any of the other AI-powered tools that iOS 18.2 brings to the table.
