Krypto the Superdog may steal the show in the new “Superman” movie, but it’s a dog named Superman who’s stealing the hearts of animal lovers across the country as rescue workers in Texas try to save pets in dire circumstances.

About 40 dogs and cats that survived the flooding in Texas are now in this area and available for adoption. The Brandywine Valley SPCA teamed up with animal rescue organizations to bring the animals from shelters in from central Texas on two flights--one Friday and one Saturday.
