Michigan’s football team is adding a veteran piece to its receiver room for 2025. UMass wideout Anthony Simpson, who has one year of eligibility remaining, committed to the Wolverines on Sunday night,

Michigan football already got one transfer portal commitment on Sunday with former UMass and Arizona wide receiver Anthony Simpson pledging to the maize and blue. But the Wolverines weren’t done getting transfer portal pledges on the day.

Simpson, who spent two seasons at Arizona before transferring to UMass, is the second receiver the Wolverines have added from the transfer portal.

Much of the handwringing by Michigan football fans in the postseason has been the lack of transfer portal movement with the wide receiver position. The Wolverines brought in former Indiana wideout Donaven McCulley shortly after the transfer portal opened,
