The United States finds Israel is not impeding aid to Gaza as a 30-day deadline to boost supplies or face cuts to weapons funding expired. The Israeli military killed 64 people in Gaza and another 28 in Lebanon as it pressed on with its campaign of relentless bombings.

The Israel Defense Forces continued its intense airstrike and ground campaigns in Gaza -- particularly in the north of the strip -- and in Lebanon, with Israeli attacks on targets nationwide including in the capital Beirut.

Israeli officials are insisting on maintaining a capacity to strike Lebanon at any moment as part of conditions to secure a ceasefire with Iran-backed Hezbollah, France's foreign minister said on Wednesday.
