An attack by more than 3,000 firefighters and increased humidity due to lower temperatures has put the 38,000-acre Line fire in the San Bernardino Mountains on the brink of surrender. The flames, Cal Fire said on Friday, Sept. 13, have been reduced to smoldering and creeping.
