Troopers responded to a report of a car smoking stopped in the middle lane of I-95 south in Portsmouth, State Police said.

One person was killed and two others injured in a 3-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, on Monday night. The crash occurred around 6:41 p.m. on I-95 south. State police troopers said they initially responded to a report of a smoking vehicle stopped in the middle southbound lane of the highway.
