A year after they celebrated a title, Wolverines supporters are left praying for an outcome that makes both teams miserable; ‘a controversial win that we could question forever’

The No. 8 seed Ohio State Buckeyes take on the No. 7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Monday night in the College Football Playoff national title game. It is the first-ever title game in the 12-team CFP format, and both Ryan Day and Marcus Freeman are searching for their first championships as head coach.

Four of those have come since Ohio State's last regular season game with two of them coming in the loss against Michigan. Notre Dame ranks fourth nationally in turnover margin per game this season and this is coming after an Orange Bowl in which it lost the turnover battle to Penn State.
