The Delhi-based franchise decided not to retain Pant with putting an end to his 9-year-long association with the team. The IPL 2025 mega auction is set to take place on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.

Rishabh Pant along with KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer will be a total of 3 captains from IPL 2024 season to feature in the auction. All three have registered themselves in the Rs 2 crore bracket for the 2-day event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

CSK are without a big name Indian player in their batting order with the franchise relying on their overseas imports and fringe players. With just Rs 55 crore left in the auction, Viswanathan hinted that the trend could continue as well as getting Pant, Shreyas Iyer, Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul could be beyond their spending limits.

CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan has responded to the rumours that Chennai will be aiming to get Rishabh Pant during the IPL 2025 auction. Pant will be one of the big players in demand during the auction.

Kasi hinted at CSK chasing their core group of players instead of going after the big names in the IPL mega auction 2025.
