Starting Monday, July 14, 34th Street will be closed from Center Avenue/Highway 10 to Fourth Avenue South for road construction.

Board President Jake Lauritsen said the tax rate decrease will come at a good time for many residents, although the park district's levy is only about 9% of a property owner's tax bill.
