Former UMass wide receiver Anthony Simpson pledged to join Michigan football via the transfer portal on Sunday night, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

Simpson, who spent two seasons at Arizona before transferring to UMass, is the second receiver the Wolverines have added from the transfer portal.

Michigan’s football program has dipped into the transfer portal to land a new long snapper for 2025. UCLA’s Trent Middleton announced his commitment to the Wolverines on Thursday in a social media post. “Beyond blessed to say I have committed to the University of Michigan,” he wrote accompanied by a graphic of him in a Wolverines uniform.

The Wolverines were hoping to right their wrongs by adding the No. 2 available transfer cornerback, Thaddeus Dixon. According to On3, Dixon was supposed to visit Ann Arbor on Sund
