A massive holiday market just opened in Union Square, a great spot to grab gifts from local shops, artisans, bakeries and more. The market opens Thursday for the holiday season and will remain open through Dec.

The Union Square Holiday Market in NYC opened with over 185 vendors, offering gifts and food through December 23.

The 35th annual lighting of the Great Tree was held across the street from Macy's in San Francisco's Union Square, but it may be the last with the store's uncertain future.
