First-look images from the sixth and final season of " The Handmaid's Tale ," premiering next year, have been released. On Tuesday, several images from the highly anticipated upcoming season were shared on Instagram with a message from the show's star, Elisabeth Moss.

The first look photos - and a teaser from Disney - deliver the first tease at what the sixth and final season of the hit Hulu series has in store when it returns in 2025.

Before season 6 started filming earlier this year, The Handmaid’s Tale faced a shakeup when Bruce Miller stepped down as showrunner after being with the series since the beginning. He remains a writer and executive producer but passed on his duties to executive producers Eric Tuchman and Yahlin Chang.
