Duke poured in 17 3-pointers, including six from freshman Kon Knueppel, as the Blue Devils rolled over last-place Miami in ACC basketball at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

The Miami Hurricanes (4-13, 0-6 ACC) walked into Cameron Indoor Stadium and were run off the floor as the No. 3 Duke Blue Devils (15-2, 7-0 ACC) buried the Hurricanes from beyond the in an 89-54 loss for the team's sixth straight loss of the season.

Freshman Kon Knueppel scored a season-high 25 points as No. 3 Duke rolled to its 11th consecutive victory, wiping out Miami 89-54 on Tuesday night at Durham, N.C.

The Hurricanes aren’t totally sure of that timing. But they are thrilled to have landed Beck, who committed to Miami last week in a massive transfer-portal win for the Hurricanes — who saw another transfer, Cam Ward, have a 2024 season that could make him the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft.

On "The Paul Finebaum Show," SEC Network analyst Paul Finebaum commented on Beck's decision, stating that Beck recognized the need for a change. "Carson Beck left originally because he wanted to go to the NFL," Finebaum said. "He found out he's not going to the NFL. It's hard to go back. I think he just knew he needed a change."

Carson Beck has been through his first team meeting at Miami, and he’s starting to build relationships with his new teammates with the Hurricanes already working out in advance of the 2025 season.
