Brock Nelson scored 2:03 into overtime and the New York Islanders rallied to beat the Carolina Hurricanes 3-2.

Once again, the Carolina Hurricanes fell behind 2-0 in the first period, but once again they fought back to take control of the game and eventually defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets, 7-4 on Thursday night at the Lenovo Center.
