Before “Friends,” David Schwimmer certainly had some odd jobs ... going on to reveal that he handed divorce papers to rockstar Rod Stewart, of all people. “Thank goodness I’ve never run into him since,” Schwimmer said this week.

David Schwimmer had an encounter with legendary rocker Rod Stewart before his big 'Friends' days, but unfortunately it was not for a good reason.

“Rachel broke up with me on a Monday evening, and it was heartbreaking. No one leaves Rod!” Stewart told the outlet. “But that Saturday night, I met Penny at the Dorchester Hotel in London. The bass player in my band, Carmine, said, ‘Listen, you’ve just come out of a long nine-year marriage. You’re not ready yet.’ I nearly strangled him!”

The “Friends” alum previously worked as a process server during his college days, he revealed on Monday’s episode of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
