The Detroit Lions were projected to land an edge rusher who had 17 sacks in 2024 in the latest mock draft. At the outset of their 2025 offseason, one of the Detroit Lions' most obvious needs is an edge rusher.

Detroit spent their first two draft picks at the position, drafting Terrion Arnold and Ennis Rakestraw Jr. This year, their obvious need is an edge rusher who can line up alongside Aidan Hutchinson.
