In an appearance on "SportsCenter" late Friday night ( YouTube link ), Shams Charania of ESPN gave the latest update on Jimmy Butler ‘s situation in Miami, stating that the Heat would prefer to trade the six-time All-Star “as soon as possible.”

ESPN insider Shams Charania, citing his anonymous sources, was the first to break Butler's desire to leave Miami in December. Charania said Butler's preferred destinations were the Golden State Warriors, Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets.
