Jared Goff threw a terrible interception, and then it got even worse for him. The Detroit Lions quarterback was in pursuit on the interception return when he was hit hard in the head by Washington Commanders linebacker Frankie Luvu.

A interception return for a touchdown by Commanders defensive back Quay Martin turned out to be a doubly painful play for the Lions.
“The pick-six especially I’d love to have that one back,” Goff said. “That was a poor decision by me. The other turnovers are sometimes part of the game. But at the end of the day, it’s on me. I’ve got to take care of the ball better.”
Quan Martin intercepted Jared Goff and returned it 40 yards for a touchdown with 5:25 left in the second quarter of the divisional playoff game at Ford Field in Detroit. On the return, Goff was knocked to the ground by Washington linebacker Frankie Luvu, whose helmet struck the lower part of Goff’s facemask.
Goff had to go into a concussion evaluation but was cleared after taking a huge hit on an interception return by Washington.
After throwing a pick-six that extended Washington's lead to 24-14, Goff was lit up by Frankie Luvu during the return. The hit Goff sustained was to the head and neck area, likely leading to an evaluation for a concussion.

Goff (head) returned to Saturday's divisional-round game versus the Commanders, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports. Goff took a big hit from Washington defender Frankie Luvu on Quan Martin's pick-six of the quarterback in the second quarter.
The Lions' franchise signal-caller did not receive treatment similar to other quarterbacks from his officiating crew.
