The Calgary Flames are in an odd spot heading into the trade deadline. Under general manager (GM) Craig Conroy’s guidance, this season was supposed to be the start of a rebuild for the organization.

As of today, the Calgary Flames find themselves in the second wildcard spot in the Western Conference. An impressive accomplishment for a team many had projected to finish at the bottom of the NHL standings.

The Flames are still on the fence as to whether to be buyers or sellers at the NHL Trade Deadline as they sit in a playoff spot.

The Calgary Flames scored four times in the first period, including two goals from Connor Zary, on their way to a 6-3 road victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday.
