A halt to supplies of Patriot interceptor missiles is a blow to the embattled country’s efforts to withstand Russia’s mounting and increasingly deadly aerial assaults.

The White House cited Pentagon concerns that some American arms stockpiles were dwindling too low. Among the affected weapons were air defense systems, bombs, missiles and artillery rounds.

MOSCOW (Reuters) -Russia has taken full control of Ukraine's eastern Luhansk region, more than three years after President Vladimir Putin ordered thousands of troops into Ukraine in February 2022, the Russian-backed head of the region told Russian state television.

If confirmed, it would be the first Ukrainian region fully occupied by Moscow since the 2022 invasion, a claim Kyiv has yet to address.

The overnight barrage by Russia targeted numerous civilian infrastructure points, including residential areas, energy facilities, and transportation hubs.
