New York State Police said the father of a 9-year-old girl who was initially the subject of an Amber Alert and was later found dead has been charged with her murder.
A 9-year-old girl was abducted by an unknown suspect at New York’s Lake George, according to an Amber Alert received by some Massachusetts residents. New York State Police said in the alert that the girl, Melina Galanis Frattolin, was last seen at 9:40 p.m. on Saturday in a white van on Interstate 87 near exit 22.
New York State Police will be releasing information about 9-year-old Melina Frattolin's death Monday 10 a.m. at the State Police barracks in Latham.
