Top brass at Japanese network giant Fuji Television and its parent company have stepped down following allegations involving Masahiro Nakai.

The chairman and president of Japan's Fuji Television resigned Monday, weeks after a celebrity presenter and former pop star was accused of sexual assault.

Koichi Minato has been the target of criticism following the revelation that he became aware of the incident involving Nakai right after it occurred in June 2023.
