UNDATED (WKRC) - Red Lobster announced a revamped menu and the return of a fan-favorite item during an exclusive interview with TODAY. Red Lobster CEO Damola Adamolekun, 35, spoke with TODAY in an exclusive interview, revealing several changes, which included nine new additions and the return of a fan-favorite.

Also new on the menu are bacon-wrapped scallops, a lobster bisque, a lobster pappardelle and a Parmesan-crusted chicken dish. Red Lobster is also "crafting a new tartar sauce that brings back all the flavors" from its original recipe, according to its Facebook account.

Red Lobster debuted some new food options and brought back two popular items this week after the seafood restaurant chain overhauled its menu.

The seafood chain spooked fans earlier in the year when it was announced they were dealing with financial woes.

Red Lobster is determined to fish itself out of the financial deep end, and its new CEO is banking on the resurrection of a fan-favorite menu item to help it accomplish that. The popular restaurant chain is jump-starting its recovery after it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in May.
