Just four months after a devastating mass shooting at Georgia's Apalachee High School, another 14-year-old student brought a gun to campus, police said.

A 14-year-old is accused of bringing a gun to Apalachee High School, months after a mass shooting left four people dead, Georgia authorities said. The student was arrested just after 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, at the school in Winder, the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Following the incident, Barrow County Schools announced that school was canceled at Apalachee High School on Thursday, Jan. 9. 11Alive obtained a copy of an email sent to parents that said students and staff should not report and that Open House is postponed. All on-campus extracurricular activities are also canceled.

Colt Gray, 14, is accused of opening fire inside the Apalachee High School campus, resulting in the deaths of two teachers, 39-year-old Richard Aspinwall and 53-year-old Cristina Irimie, and two students, Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, both 14. Nine others sustained injuries.

The news was unnerving to the parents following the mass shooting at the school in September that killed two students and two teachers.
