Newcastle United have completed the signing of Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest, and plenty of his peers – including Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers – are buzzing. On Friday, Newcastle announced the arrival of Elanga on a long-term contract, having agreed a deal with Nottingham Forest reportedly worth £55million.

United never officially disclosed the specifics of the sell-on clause, but sources have confirmed it to be worth 15 percent of any profit made. That means United will take 15 percent of the remaining £37m fee when you subtract the £15m they spent on him two years ago.

The top speed recorded in the Premier League last season was by Tottenham Hotspur’s Micky van de Ven, who was clocked at 37.12 kilometres per hour (23.06mph). Matheus Nunes of Manchester City was second with a best of 36.72 km/h, with Elanga a fraction behind at 36.66 km/h.
