Accompanied by a group of friends in canoes, Lindsey Cole will attempt to continuously swim in the river for 24 hours on 28 September for World River Day - all while dressed as a mermaid.

She sets groups up with their own mermaid tails and teaches them how to swim in them ... to erase any stigma that fellow mermaids might face, and she hopes that others will be willing to come ...
