Tom Homan is Trump’s new “border czar” and is "going to have a big hand in recommending" border policy, a former colleague says.

Thomas Homan was a proponent of the "zero tolerance" family separation policy at the US border during Trump's first presidency.

Stephen Miller and Thomas Homan had critical roles in the first Trump administration and are unapologetic defenders of its policies, which included separating thousands of parents from their children at the border to deter illegal crossings.

During his campaign, Trump made bold promises, saying on day one he would start the largest deportation program in United States history. He also promised to end birthright citizenship by way of an executive order.

After Trump promised the largest mass deportation in U.S. history and appointed Tom Homan as border czar, some immigrant rights groups are very concerned.
