A teenager is facing murder charges in the deadly shooting of a woman who was defending her family last week in Chinatown.

Earlier this week, police arrested a 15-year-old boy for fatally shooting 66-year-old William Alcindor in Queens. According to the Queens District Attorney’s office, the teen had been firing at a “gang” rival in a Popeyes parking lot. He missed, and the bullets struck Alcindor as he drove by the scene.

A teen is charged in the murder of his mother in Florida just a year after being arrested for killing his dad in Oklahoma, officials say.

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Two additional arrests have been made in a Columbus murder investigation. Police said Patrick Montgomery Jr., 17, and Dereon Montgomery, 16, were arrested Thursday in Lee County, Ala. Authorities said the teen brothers were extradited to Columbus on Wednesday. Both suspects are charged with murder.

In addition to the murder charge, the 17-year-old is also facing five counts of attempted murder among other crimes, the sheriff’s office said.
