Nvidia’s 50 Series releases are chugging right along, even though things haven’t exactly been smooth. The top end of the series has shown impressive 4K performance, but finding one in stock for close to MSRP requires active effort or plenty of patience.

Of the four Blackwell releases, the Nvidia RTX 5070 is the most affordable of the bunch, sitting in at a retail price of $549. Less expensive variants will undoubtedly be released later during the cycle but the next official announcement has yet to be made.

At $549, the RTX 5070 will also come up against AMD’s new $549 Radeon RX 9070 and $599 Radeon RX 9070 XT when they launch on March 6th. If AMD manages to beat Nvidia’s RTX 5070 or come close to the $749 RTX 5070 Ti, that’s going to put a lot of much-needed pressure on Nvidia’s pricing.
