The country's regions hit by massive floods last year have received an unprecedented PLN 8 billion (EUR 1.9 bln) in state aid, the Polish interior minister has said.

While intense rain caused devastating floods in Poland, Austria and Romania, there was barely a single cloud above the UK.

Poland’s government said on Monday that flood-hit regions have received more than PLN 8 billion (around EUR 1.9 billion, USD 2.2 billion) through nearly 30 support programs since last year’s disaster.
