The Philadelphia region got its most significant snowfall of the season Monday. And while some locations south of the Philly area saw more than six inches of snow, Philadelphia International Airport recorded just 1.

A light snow is forecast to start around 1 a.m. in parts of North Jersey and New York City, with an average of 2 inches falling before the storm moves out at 10 p.m. In Delaware and Philadelphia, the latest forecasts suggest the snow will start around 1 a.m., with as much as 8 inches falling over 24 hours.

Kansas is feeling the impact of a major winter storm at the start of the week that dumped large amounts of snow in many areas. 27 News Chief Stormtrack Meteorologist Matt Miller reported on Jan. 5 that many parts of northeast Kansas experienced high snowfall amounts during a powerful winter storm.
