Nearly three months after Liam Payne ’s death, his friend Roger Nores has reportedly named the singer’s father in a defamation lawsuit.

Five people have been charged over Payne’s death after the former One Direction star fell from a third-floor balcony of the Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Liam Payne's friend Roger Nores filed a defamation lawsuit against the late One Direction bandmate's father, Geoff Payne, over remarks he made publicly following his son's death. The legal documents claim Geoff told authorities in Buenos Aires that Roger had "full responsibility" for Liam's care "during this last period when I was not there.

The Argentine businessman isn't just suing Geoff Payne for damaging his reputation, but also for alleging that the British singer was under his care during his final days.
