Oklahoma City Thunder forward Jalen Williams played his team's entire postseason run to the NBA championship with a ligament tear in his wrist that required surgery.

Jalen Williams, the All-Star guard/forward who helped the Oklahoma City Thunder win their first NBA title, had surgery Tuesday to repair a torn ligament in his right wrist. The team said he will be re-evaluated in approximately 12 weeks.

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Jalen Williams will undergo surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left wrist, general manager Sam Presti said Monday. The first-time All-Star is expected to be available for the start of the 2025–26 regular season as the Thunder begin their defense of the NBA title.
