The U.N. General Assembly is considering a Palestinian resolution Tuesday demanding that Israel end its “unlawful presence” in Gaza and the occupied West Bank within a year and calling for sanctions and an arms embargo against the country.

Sky News host Sharri Markson has hit out at the United Nations resolution demanding Israel withdraw from Gaza and the West Bank describing the motion as “racist and antisemitic”.

UN member states will debate Tuesday a push to formally demand an end to the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories within 12 months.

The addition of the new war aim may push Israel to shift its military focus to its northern front as it warns that its patience for reaching a diplomatic solution with Hezbollah is running thin.
