The House passed a bipartisan bill to sanction the International Criminal Court on Thursday after the body issued arrest warrants for Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Israeli defense minister Yoav Gallant in November.

The former Polish president of the International Criminal Court (ICC) on Thursday slammed Warsaw's decision to protect Israeli Premier Benjamin Netanyahu from the court’s arrest warrant should he decides to attend a commemoration of the liberation of Auschwitz.

The “Illegitimate Court Counteraction Act,” reintroduced this week by House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Brian Mast and Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX), received overwhelming Republican support.
