Altcoins Surge Leaving Bitcoin and Ether Behind After Fed Cuts Interest Rate

The market cap of altcoins rose 5.7% after the central bank announced it would lower interest rates by 50 basis points. Bitcoin’s market cap rose only 4.4%.

Cryptocurrency Price Today (September 19): Bitcoin Rides US Fed Rate Cut To Rise Above $62,000

Bitcoin price stood at $62,145, registering a 24-hour jump of 2.46 percent, as per CoinMarketCap. According to Indian exchanges, BTC price stood at Rs 49.04 lakh. ETH price stood at $2,411.01, marking a 24-hour gain of 3.14 percent at the time of writing. Ethereum price in India stood at Rs 1.98 lakh.
