TROY, MI -- Police say two people were killed Tuesday morning in a head-on crash that appears to have been caused by a driver traveling the wrong way along westbound W Long Lake Road. According to the Troy Police Department officers were dispatched to the area around 8:41 a.m. for reports of a crash.

Two people are dead after a head-on collision Tuesday with a wrong-way driver in Troy, police reported. Officials said the crash happened at about 8:41 a.m. on westbound West Long Lake Road at Northfield Parkway.

Officials have identified the driver killed in a crash on Route 88 in Brick on Monday morning. Dawn Giordano, 45, of Point Pleasant Borough, veered off the road at about 10:35 a.m. after losing control of her vehicle, Brick police said.

The driver, who was alone in the vehicle, was pinned in the vehicle and ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash claimed the life of 32-year-old Brandon Taylor of Port Barre.

Hilton Bunce was driving a minivan west near the Baird Boulevard overpass around 9:30 a.m. when he rear-ended a truck stopped in the right lane, authorities said. Emergency workers removed the Camden resident from the minivan and brought him to a nearby hospital, where Bunce died of his injuries.

A 30-year-old man was driving a 2004 Ford Focus northbound on Willow Glen Drive when for reasons unknown the driver veered towards the left, crossed over the solid, double-yellow lines and crashed head-on into a 2013 Subaru Outback driven by a 25-year-old woman,
