Charlie Kirk, 31, a conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA, was fatally shot in the neck on September 10 during a speaking event at Utah Valley University. A suspect, 22‑year‑old Tyler Robinson, has been arrested after allegedly confessing to a family member.
In high school classes in Spanish Fork, Utah, chatter spread fast Wednesday, as students learned of the shooting and began to wonder if Kirk would live or die. A cellphone ban meant many students didn’t learn of Kirk’s fate until the final bell — pushing tough conversations in class to the next day.
A North Texas family is asking the public to stop spreading false claims that their son is linked to the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, according to WFAA-TV. Zachariah Qureshi, 25, who lives in Utah, attended the rally at Utah Valley University in Orem on Wednesday, his family said.
