The Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) has announced that Samsung and Google phones will receive Qi2 wireless charging support, the answer to Apple's MagSafe charging, in 2025.

The Wireless Power Consortium has confirmed that upcoming Samsung Galaxy devices will adopt the faster Qi2 wireless charging standard.

Apple has been the only major phone manufacturer to implement the technology with its MagSafe wireless chargers so far. Qi2 wireless charging for Android looks like it might be a thing. It has been two years since it was first announced,
