GSA's rideshare blanket purchase agreement with Uber is part of the agency's OneGov strategy, which seeks to centralize government procurement.

“Our renewed partnership with the GSA will help government agencies simplify their travel and transportation needs,” said Uber President and Chief Operating Officer Andrew Macdonald. “We’re paving the way for a future where integrated mobility, meal delivery, and fleet management can help transform the full range of government services.”

The new audio recording is one of three new safety initiatives Uber is starting. The company will also roll out audible seat belt alerts and RideCheck Enhancements.
