Overall it was really good. I took off one star for being very far from the metro. I went on a Sunday afternoon so it was pretty desolate. The empty parking lot was creepy. Tons of signs saying not t… Full review by pixismiler

The walk from the Metro station to the memorial was pretty long and arduous. And the memorial itself was pretty small, but knowing that this is the Defense Department's main building, security around… Full review by thankunextbeach
I have read that the memorial benches area was closed beginning on Sept 16, 2019 for lighting repair until May 29, 2020. The Memorial Gateway remains open until November 16, 2019. Then that will be closed to the public until May 29, 2020. Has anyone been to the memorial after Sept 16, and can tell me if it is indeed closed? If we are able to only go to the Memorial Gateway, is it still worth a visit? Can you still access the audio tour on your phone from the Memorial Gateway?

From there, exit the station and follow the signs around the Pentagon building to the memorial. The memorial is on the opposite side of the building from the WMATA Metro station. It’s a short walk from the train and well worth it. It’s also a fairly short ride from the Crystal City stop to the Pentagon stop.
Is it possible to walk to the Memorial from the Arlington Cemetery?

Yes, but it's not well-marked. There is a sidewalk from behind the Cemetery's service complex (southeast corner of the Cemetery) that goes along Columbia Pike and then under Washington Blvd into the entrance area for the Pentagon Memorial. It's along busy roads, so be careful.
