Hello, I plan on taking a train from London to get to Leeds Castle. Their website suggests a taxi or walk from Bearstead station to reach the castle. - is it convenient to find a taxi? Is it expensive? -I don’t mind walking, but I worry about the safety. Is it just walking along o roadway or is there a clear path? Thanks
A:
I'm not sure about the train. We took a bus and it stopped inside the grounds in front of the castle proper.

To be honest I don't know. When I am there again I will find out and add to my next review. I agree with the other answer, they may be with guests. I have never seen dogs with visitors not even guide dogs. It's possible they prefer no dogs as there is so much going on and the wildlife might get spooked. My suggestion would be to park in Leeds Church car park and walk in using the public footpath the views are spectacular. We used to do this many moons ago. Hope this helps.
Q:
Is it national trust
A:
No it is a stand-alone castle. Prices are for entry to this location only.
